We are the UK's longest-standing provider of music and media services to businesses. It is over 40 years since the father of our current MD realised the potential of music and advertising in a retail setting (see 'Malcolm and the Marzipan'). Since then, we have expanded our client base to include the hospitality, leisure and banking sectors among others. Firm Foundations

As GMS became more successful, it started to draw attention from bigger businesses. In the late '60s, Philips Electronics purchased the firm as their 'Background Music division' in the UK. Our founder continued to work in the company at that time, and it came back into family ownership in 1976. It has been independent, owned and run by the McRae family since then.

As a family-run business, we have the flexibility to adapt to our clients' needs. Many of our staff members have been part of our team for over a decade. This gives them a unique knowledge and understanding of our clients. Partnership with our clients ensures that all solutions are built to suit what they require for their businesses.
